OVPR: 2020 Gairdner Ontario International Symposium
The Office of the Vice-President, Research and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa are pleased to help present the 2020 Gairdner Ontario International Symposium, Breaking Through: Delivering on the Promise of Gene Therapy. This virtual event, taking place on December 2 and 3, will bring world-class Canadian and international experts together to explore the past, present and future of somatic gene therapy research and practice. Speakers will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing Canadian scientists, regulators, clinicians, decision makers and patients. There will also be a presentation and panel discussion on the Council of Canadian Academies’ latest report from the Expert Panel on the Approval and Use of Somatic Gene Therapies in Canada.
