SSHRC Partnership Grant Program
Partnership Grants provide support for new and existing formal partnerships over four to seven years to advance research, research training and/or knowledge mobilization in the social sciences and humanities through mutual co-operation and sharing of intellectual leadership, as well as through resources as evidenced by cash and/or in-kind contributions.

- 35 per cent minimum additional cash and/or in-kind contributions
- Duration: 4-7 years
Evaluation Criteria
- Challenge - the aim and importance of the endeavour (40%)
- Feasibility - the plan to achieve excellence (30%)
- Capability - the expertise to succeed (30%)
Two stage application process
Stage 1: Letter of Intent (LoI)
- Internal Deadline (Research Management Services):
3 p.m. February 15, 2018 - External Deadline (SSHRC):8 p.m. (eastern time) February 15, 2018
- LoI funding: up to $ 20,000 - to help in the preparation of the formal application
Stage 2: Full Application (by invitation)
- Deadline: November 1, 2018

Host Letter | January 15th, 2018 (roughly 5 weeks prior to the submission deadline) |
On or before January 11th, 2018, submit the following to the Research Projects Specialist in order to receive a host institutional letter of support from the Office of the Vice-President, Research:

Internal Review of Application (optional) | As soon as possible: Projects are reviewed on a first come first serve basis. | E-mail finalised draft of whole application to your Faculty's Research Facilitator and Research Project Specialist. |
