Joseph de Koninck is an internationally-renowned researcher who studies the third of our life that we spend sleeping and dreaming. The sources of dreams and its impact on awake life, the role of sleep in learning and memory, chronobiological factors underlying napping and insomnia treatment are among the subjects where he innovated, allowed us to better understand the importance of sleep and dreams in psychological adaptation. As a university administrator he has been an ardent promoter, nationally and internationally, of interdisciplinarity and guidance of graduate and postdoctoral studies.
