Six University of Ottawa researchers have been elected fellows of the Royal Society of Canada, the highest distinction that can be given to a scholar, artist or scientist in Canada. As well, two University researchers have been elected to the College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists, as part of its seventh cohort.
The research excellence and commitment to service of professors Nafissa Ismail (Faculty of Social Sciences) and Sophie Thériault (Faculty of Law, Civil Law Section) have resulted in their election to the 2020 cohort of the prestigious Global Young Academy.
The University of Ottawa has received 10 Early Researcher Awards from the Ontario government. The award program aims to help new researchers build their research teams.
