OTTAWA, October 31, 2013 — On Monday, November 4, Professor Muralee Murugesu of the Faculty of Science will explain how his research on nano-magnetic materials will lead to the creation of tomorrow’s more cost- and energy-efficient technologies. He will speak to a live audience in Hamilton, Ontario, as well to viewers online. All audience members will then have a chance to weigh in with their own views.
The event, at the McMaster Innovation Park, is the first of five talks in the 2013-2014 edition of the Research Matters free speaker series, which will be travelling across Ontario over the next six months.
These free events will allow the public to discuss the future with university researchers who are creating it. Five researchers will present their topics and then ask audiences in the room and online to decide What Matters Now?
This event will also be webcast live. Online viewers can share their views and ask questions via Twitter, using the hashtag #whatmattersnow
