Prestigious international award for photonics researcher

David Villeneuve, adjunct professor at the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Science and scientist with the National Research Council (NRC), has received the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Quantum Electronics Award. This award honours an individual (or group) for outstanding technical contributions to quantum electronics, in fundamental science, applications or both. Previous uOttawa winners include Paul Corkum (2005) and Robert Boyd (2014).
