Submission Dates for Initial Requests:
- Regular Submission: First business day of the month
- Expedited Review: Submit at any time during the month
- Secondary Use of Data: Submit at any time during the month
- Course Outline: 4 to 6 weeks before classes begin
- Administrative Review: Submit at any time during the month
Submission Dates for Ongoing Requests:
- Modification Report: Submit at any time during the month
- Renewal Report: One month before the expiration date
- Closure Report: Submit at any time during the month once data collection is complete
- Adverse or Unforeseen Event Report: Submit immediately following the event
Ethics Review Timelines:
- Full REB Review: 6 weeks or more
- Minimal Risk Review: 4 to 6 weeks
- Expedited Review: 2 to 3 weeks
- Secondary Use of Data: 2 to 3 weeks
- Course Outline: 2 to 3 weeks
- Administrative review: 1 week
- Modification Report: 2 to 3 weeks
