The Strategic Projects Management Group (SPMG)

We are a multidisciplinary team focused on maximizing the effective and efficient planning and execution of major institutional and research infrastructure projects and the intake of new faculty. Although this mainly involves overseeing Canada Foundation for Innovation projects, the SPMG is also responsible for other large-scale research initiatives that involve complex planning, design, procurement and project management.

Strategic projects typically involve significant and specialized research infrastructure, equipment, space and support services. The SPMG is a nexus for information sharing and collaboration and takes appropriate actions and decisions to increase project success and higher degrees of positive user experience and client satisfaction.

Key business units

The SPMG comprises four key business units. The solid collaboration between these four units makes SPMG’s strength essential to project success.
