2012 UROP Symposium

The Office of the Vice-President, Research held its annual Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) Symposium on March 29, 2012. The event was an opportunity for the first 250 UROP scholarship recipients to make a poster presentation of their findings.

We also wish to congratulate the first winners of the UROP poster competition. Recipients were chosen among two categories – pure and applied sciences, and social sciences and humanities.

Pure and applied sciences 

1st prize: Justin Whitaker (Faculty of Science)

2nd prize ex aequo: Alison Hamilton (Faculty of Science)

2nd prize ex aequo:  Khaled Atieh (Faculty of Engineering)

Social Sciences and Humanities

1st prize: Marlena Flick (Faculty of Social Sciences) 

2nd prize ex aequo: Pénélope Boucher (Faculty of Arts)

2nd prize ex aequo: Marie-Ève Larivière (Faculty of Arts)
