Research Funding

Research funding and infrastructure

The University's Office of Strategic Development Initiatives (SDI) is the primary resource for information on grants and contracts to support the specialized facilities and equipment that are essential to some research activities.

Research Management Services oversees the various steps taken by University researchers to obtain grants for their work, from application procedures to financial reporting.

Intellectual Property and Contract Research

The Innovation Support Services (ISS) has defined policies and procedures to help University of Ottawa researchers determine the disposition of intellectual property created by their work. It also administers formal contracts supporting research, a substantial and growing portion of the total research funding at the University of Ottawa.
