Mark Pearson

Biography

Specialization: Catalysis, Energy and Advanced Materials

Mark has been with the University of Ottawa’s Innovation Support Services since 1999. He is responsible for assessing new technologies for commercial potential, developing and implementing commercialization plans, and negotiating licenses and other commercial agreements. He has been involved in the creation and successful funding of Spectalis Corp. and Plexagen Diagnostics, two University of Ottawa spin-off companies. Prior to joining the University of Ottawa, he held positions in business development at MDS Nordion, and in sales and marketing at DAKO Diagnostics Canada. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo, and an MBA from Queen’s University.
