Please join Kristin Spong, Business Development Specialist at Mitacs and learn how Mitacs, a national not-for-profit organization, builds partnerships between academia, industry and community organizations to create a more innovative Canada.

As a Business Development Specialist Kristin’s role involves working proactively with academic and non-academic stakeholders to identify and engage top-level researchers to collaborate on innovative research projects both domestically and internationally with financial support through Mitacs’ programs.

Programs/items to be highlighted include the following:

  • Accelerate – Build research partnerships while funding your grad students and postdocs.
  • Elevate – Long-term research collaborations that support postdoctoral career development.
  • Globalink – Research Internships and Graduate Fellowships. Two-way mobility for senior undergrads and grad students.
  • Updates to existing programs and new opportunities
